Fabric-Reinforced Silicone Tape

The self-fusing silicone tape line now includes sinusoidal fiberglass-reinforced tape

The self-fusing silicone tape line now includes sinusoidal fiberglass-reinforced tape. Fiberglass strands incorporated into the tape better control the amount of stretch for consistent thickness and dielectrics, while boosting tear and abrasion resistance.

The tape is made from specially formulated silicone which only bonds to itself without an adhesive, allowing for clean installation and reentry. Once contact is made, fusion begins in seconds with 100% cohesion complete within 24 hr (at room temperature). The fused tape becomes an impermeable barrier against contaminating fluid and environmental ingress while providing dielectric protection in excess of 400 V/0.001 in. in thickness.
