The Jet Edge Model HR48 water-jet cutter can accommodate a variety of materials and widths, and provides the capacity for more intricate shapes and patterns. The unit’s digital format is suitable for short and long runs. The cutter leaves a straight wall on thicker materials, such as foams and soft rubbers, and no adverse mechanical or thermal effects. Because of its digital format, the water-jet cutter doesn’t require expensive tooling or final finishing. The cutter is controlled by PC-based AquaVision interface featuring SigmaNest software, which ensures repeatability up to 0.001 in. and accuracy up to 0.005 in., for precision cutting of intricate designs, including very small apertures. A video of the process is available.
