Tool For Adding Support Ribs

May 11, 2006
A tool in VX CAD/CAM software lets users quickly and easily add stiffener-support ribs to 3D models.

Users need only sketch 2D lines representing the position and pitch of the ribs. The command then fleshes-out this data to produce a rib structure joined to the model. Users can easily adjust material thickness and draft-allowance angles.
