New Product: Fast-Cure Adhesive Okay for Disposable Medical Devices

July 10, 2008
Loctite 3974, a light-cure adhesive, bonds materials that expand at different rates when heated.

The singlecomponent acrylic cures quickly to a 70 Shore A hardness under UV or visible light. And its 100% elongation makes it a candidate for flexible components. It bonds glass, thermoplastics, and metal assemblies that see extreme thermal cycling and harsh environments and is ISO- 10993 biologically tested for use in disposable medical devices. The adhesive fluoresces under black light for easy quality-control inspection and is available in a variety of package sizes to accommodate manual to fully automated dispensing.
