Low-Profile Quarter-Turn Fasterners

July 12, 2007
New quarter-turn latches accommodate up to 25 different insertsfor locking doors and panels in enclosures and machine covers.

The device is suited for tight areas that butt directly up to an edge, and installs in a 32 X 20.1-mm rectangular cutout. It can install premounted for right or left-sided applications. The IP65-rated quarter-turn does not require screws and other mounting hardware. It simply snaps into place in the prepared sheet-metal panel. This reportedly reduces hardware installation time up to 90%. Strength and durability are comparable to traditional assembly methods, even in severe vibration applications.
