Parts-Handling System

Dec. 14, 2006
The Versa-Stack Parts-Handling System lets users create stacks of different components (subassemblies) into a modular unit using special feeding technology, along with an indexer.

The Versa-Stack lets users create stacks of different components (subassemblies) into a modular unit using special feeding technology, along with an indexer. The system isolates and feeds components directly from a bowl or spring feeder and guides them on a series of indexing pins positioned on the outer edge of the indexer dial plate. An escapement moves completed stacks to the final fixture, pick-and-place unit, or robot. Equipment is configured from a keypad, allowing quick changeover from one stack arrangement to another.
