Elexa EL-1392B thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) meets flame-test requirements specified in UL 94 V-0 for thicknesses of 0.

Elexa EL-1392B thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) meets flame-test requirements specified in UL 94 V-0 for thicknesses of 0.06 in. (1.5 mm) and passes the VW-1 vertical flame test per Method 1080 per UL 1581 as both insulation and jacket. It has an oxygen index of 28% and doesn’t drip when burned. The styrenic block copolymer TPE has a UL 1581 continuous- use rating of 105°C and retains its rubberlike flexibility and toughness over a wide temperature range. Wires with insulation and jacketing made from the RoHS-compliant TPE passed seven-day oil-resistance tests at 60°C.
