These linear springs keep the same spring rate in both tension and compression. The spring rate can be predicted within +/-1% before any parts are made.

These linear springs keep the same spring rate in both tension and compression. The spring rate can be predicted within ± 1% before any parts are made. Mounting flanges, attachment threads and other fittings can be added to the spring making it an integral part of the machine. Machined springs can be made from a variety of materials such as high-strength steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and plastics. Because the ends of the machined springs are square, there is no twisting and cocking and they permit both tension and compression operation.
