    New Product: Networking system-on-chip coprocessors

    Oct. 11, 2007
The XChip family of networking system- on-chip coprocessors lets users embed serial-to-Ethernet connectivity and Web services into RFID readers, sensors and controllers, alarm panels, air conditioners, and other products, letting them be remotely managed over the Internet.

The devices include 256-kbyte zero waitstate SRAM, up to 11 GPIOs, and a high-performance serial UART in a 12 x 12-mm RoHS-compliant package. Chips feature firmware and network protocol stacks, including TCP/IP, UDP, BootP, DHCP, and AutoIP.
