The HA1600A also measures watts, VA, V rms, V peak, A rms, A peak, crest factors, THD, power factor, frequency, and inrush current that include the 1st to 40th harmonics with real-time display updates. Dual power cables let the load supply be independent of the instrument supply. Load output is via a front-panel-mounted “standard” line/mains connector with a wide range of international power connectors available. HA1600A line/mains and harmonics analyzer features a large and high-resolution graphical display, and is capable of continuous realtime analysis. The 320 240-pixel backlit LCD can show multiple parameters simultaneously as well as graphical representations of voltage and current waveforms. Dual 16-bit a/d converters continuously sample both voltage and current.
While the unit is primarily intended as a dedicated harmonics and flicker analyzer for compliance quality measurements, it can also be used as a general-purpose line/ mains analyzer. A printer interface is included for record keeping and archiving, with both RS-232 and USB interfaces for PC connectivity using the HA-PC Link Plus Windows-based software supplied to help routine compliance measurements and results archiving. A fast DSP does continuous real-time analysis of data using advanced algorithms and extended precision or floating-point arithmetic as necessary. The unit weighs under 10 lb and is housed in a metal 14 9 5-in. cabinet.
