The polymer is noncombustable, maintains mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures, and resists solvents, scratches, and abrasions. It can be molded and extruded into a variety of stock shapes and sizes, and machined to tight tolerances without cracking, crazing, or deformation due to thermal expansion, material stress, or outgassing.
