Nexline ultrahigh-performance actuators offer theoretically unlimited travel range with high mechanical stiffness and the resolution of piezoactuators.

The all-ceramic actuators provide 600-N pushing and holding forces and better than 0.1-nm resolution. The devices can hold position to nanometer-level precision for weeks, while dissipating no heat and consuming no electrical power. The high-stiffness actuators can run in a special analog mode for active vibration cancellation and dithering. The actuators can survive shock loads of several gs.
