Mini Block-Style Prox Sensor

Nov. 18, 2004
The RO1 mini block-style, low-profile inductive sensor features a rugged cast-zinc housing for harsh environments such as in stamping or welding applications.

Sensing range of the RO1 is 7 mm. A weld field-immune version is also available with a 5-mm sensing range designed to weather dc and ac magnetic fields. It also comes with an irradiated PVC cable for weld-slag resistance. The sensors are suitable for ensuring proper working positioning in welding applications where they can be installed near tongs. Magnetic fields up to 100 kA/m that correspond to welding currents of 15 kA at distances of 40 mm, have no effect on the electronics.
