Portable Data-Transport Devices

Aug. 24, 2006
NFX Managed-Memory Tokens are portable 128-Mbyte to 1-Gbyte tokens that transport data.

They provide both an SPI interface for simple direct connection to microprocessors and a USB electrical interface to facilitate connection to PCs. The devices feature a high-level command set and an onboard file management system designed to ease the host microprocessor's load. The manufacturer controls the token's protocol for each OEM program, virtually eliminating the need for an infield update of deployed OEM equipment due to data carrier obsolescence.
