New Product: Stainless-steel paint

Nov. 8, 2007
Steel It, a two-part stainlesssteel epoxy paint, protects nonsubmerged structures from water, salt air, detergents, and solvents.

The system consists of an epoxy primer and finish coating with a 316L stainless steel leafing pigment that creates a gray satin finish. The chip-resistant metallic barrier withstands continuous 2,000-hr. salt spray tests. It is applied by brush, roller, or spray gun, and comes in gallon and quart kits. A polyurethane-based formulation is also available for applications needing better UV resistance instead of acid resistance.
