Portable Vibration Analyzer

Aug. 24, 2006
A new portable balancing instrument and vibration analyzer, the Balance Check, detects unbalance and identifies corrections required to restore balance.

The instrument has a 400-MHz XScale processor, large color display, and high-speed dataacquisition capabilities through USB, IrDA, and RS-232. Durable construction features IP65 and twometer (Mil-Std 810 spec) multiple drop-test ratings. It can be used for machinery diagnostics, quality testing on production lines, vibration or FFT analysis, bump (rap) testing, and live signal recording. The Balance Check can verify general machine health by measuring vibration, diagnose common machinery faults, and analyze bearing performance to reduce downtime.
