CDT1 and CDT4 Series NFPA tie-rod hydraulic cylinders come with fluorocarbon, NBR, PTFE, or wear-resistant polyurethane seals.
Designed for machine tool, automotive, press, plastics machinery, and other applications, the CDT4 operates at pressures to 3,000 psi. The CDT1 is rated to 1,500 psi. The cylinders feature a removable extra-long, ductile-iron bearing that reportedly gives long service life. Minimal guide clearance uniformly distributes loads while a spiral groove in the rod bearing keeps it lubricated and compensates for pressure changes. A casehardened, chrome-plated piston rod also extends seal life and lowers susceptibility to damage. Precisely centering the tube to the head end cap eliminates seal extrusion and tube-seal leakage. Piston rod diameters on the CDT1 range from 0.5 to 5.5 in., and from 0.62 to 5.5 in. on the CDT4 Series. Bores range from 1 to 8 in. and lengths to 120 in.
