Ultrastrong Polycarbonate Windows

June 2, 2005
Makrolon WG (window grade) polycarbonate comes in 0.75 to 2-in.-thick sheets.

The sheets' high impact strength coupled with good clarity and dimensional stability makes them a good fit for sight windows in tanks and vessels. It can also be used in making viewport windows as well as medical and military parts. The polycarbonate sports a high modulus of elasticity, good dielectric properties, is UV stable, and contains low levels of black speck contaminates or other impurities.
