High-Strength Adhesive

Sept. 1, 2005
EP31, a new two-part toughened-epoxy adhesive, is designed for high-performance applications.

The adhesive's lap-shear strength exceeds 4,500 psi and peel strength is greater than 40 pli. Bonds resist chemicals and have a service operating temperature range of 60 to 250°F. EP31 cures readily at room temperature and more quickly at elevated temperatures, contains no solvents or volatiles, and has a 3:1 mix ratio by weight. The cured adhesive is an excellent insulator.
