Rack-Mount Power Shelf

Feb. 8, 2007
The S1U-3X power shelf accommodates up to three D1U ac/dc front-end power supplies in parallel.

The 1U high-power shelf works with 19-in. rack systems. Two version of the power shelf handle 12 or 48V versions of D1U power supplies. The power shelf allows for hot-intersection and removal of power supplies, and features a blind-docking connection. Screw terminal lugs are used to bus-out the dc output. A single connector lets the shelf communicate via I2C bus. A 12-V shelf holding three power supplies can support 4.8 kW of 12-V power; a 48-V shelf supports 6 kW of bulk 48-V power.
