The LDS Series dc to ac inverter powers backlit liquid-crystal-display panels in sizes from 6.4 to 12.1 in. diagonal.

The unit powers up to four cold-cathode fluorescent lamps with a combined power of 12 W. The inverter is 5.24-in. long 1.22-in. wide and <0.35-in. high. An external analog control interfaces with an onboard pulse-width modulator to control dimming. Operating temperatures range from -20 to 70°C.
