Heat-Curing Adhesive With Unlimited Working Time

Jan. 26, 2006
SC 2002 NS, a nonsagging, one-part epoxy adhesive, bonds to a variety of substrates, including fabrics, wood, steels, aluminum, ceramics, glass, and concrete.

It is a self-leveling gel (60,000 cps), has excellent gap-filling properties, and produces flexible bonds with long-term durability and thermal stability. The heat-activated adhesive provides unlimited working time at room temperature. At 275°F, fixture time is about 1 min. Fully cured bonds have tensile lap shears of 2,200 psi (as measured on cold-rolled steel), resist corrosion, and withstand temperatures from 60 to 300°F.
