Carousel Bins For Small-Item Storage And Retrieval

Feb. 17, 2005
New features on the 2100 and 2200 Series of vertical carousels cater to the surface-mount technology (SMT), pharmaceutical, and automotive dealership industries.

For example, the 2200 Series now has a 19-in. pitch, allowing both 7 and 14-in. standard reels to be stored in the same unit. There's also a removable intermediate shelf, so units can be customized. Units for drug storage feature enhanced security. The 2100 Series accommodates cleanroom standards up to Class 1. Both have optional Americans-with-Disability designs, so wheelchair users can use a lowered counter with an integrated controller on automated storage bins. An upgraded keypad controller lets operators key in a pan number for retrieval and units can be upgraded for software control.
