Flame-Retardant Epoxy

Oct. 12, 2006
The 10 Minute Epoxy FR (flame retardant) suits any assembly that requires a selfextinguishing structural adhesive.

It fills gaps and bonds metals, fabrics, glass, wood, and concrete. The epoxy's flexibility, impact resistance, and durability let it secure honeycomb floor and ceiling panels. The material has a viscosity of 80,000 eps, working time of 10 min, fixture time of 20 min, and a functional cure time of 3 hr at 72°F. Bonds pass the Federal 60-sec vertical burn test and the solvent-free formulation has very-low VOC emissions. Typical peel strength of the cured epoxy is 25 pli, impact resistance is 10 ft-lb/in.2, dielectric strength is 800 V/mil, and adhesive tensile lap-shear strength is up to 2,900 psi.
