A new soft-durometer grade of Estane thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is suited for demanding hose and tube applications. Estane 58070 is plasticized polyester TPU with 72A hardness, and can be used in hoses and tubes. It reportedly offers low-temperature flexibility and snapback resistance, and is compatible with petroleum-based products. Products made from the new grade have high tensile and tear strength, and abrasion resistance for added durability. Estane 58070 is also formulated with a hydrolysis stabilizer.
