RFID IPlastic Caps

Oct. 26, 2006
Intelligent Polymer snap-on caps provide antitamper, and counterfeit protection for pharmaceutical vials, while at the same time allowing for fast simple access to the medications.

The high-temperature FDA-approved materials maintain shape and seal integrity at temperatures that far exceed autoclave and shipping conditions. A "Cap In Cap" design assures product integrity by requiring that the outside cap (containing the protective RFID) be first twisted-off, thus destroying the RFID antenna, before the contents can be accessed. The caps offer several manufacturing benefits, including the ability to cap vials inside Class-100 clean rooms. Caps fit industry standard 13 to 20-mm size vials and accommodate a wide choice of RFID modules.
