Pattern Matching For Vision Sensors

Sept. 16, 2004
Geometric pattern-matching software is now available on In-Sight vision sensors.

The software, called PatMax, locates features despite changes in image angle, size, rotation, and appearance. Boasting up to 10 times more accuracy than other pattern-matching technologies, the software handles variations in part appearance caused by process variations, reflective surfaces, partial occlusion, nonlinear changes in lighting, or uneven image formation. The software works with new industrial-grade In-Sight 5100, 5400, and 3400 vision sensors.
