Scan Camera Incorporates FireWire-B

With FireWire-B, the cameras have less signal distortion, more throughput, and backwards compatibility with conventional 1394.a. Available in eight models, the camera comes in monochrome and color versions, with most models delivering full-frame images at 90 frames/sec and 640 × 480-VGA to 1,600 × 1,200-UXGA resolutions. Color output can be set at 24-bit RGB, YUV 4:2:2, or YUV 4:1:1 and monochrome at 8 or 10 bit. Camera CCD sizes are 14, 12, 118, or 23 in.

Features include full-frame shutter for vertical resolution without degradation; tetragonal lattice layout of CCD pixels for faster image processing; and built-in color processing that provides raw output.
