FEA Software Handles Large Assemblies

June 7, 2006
The 3G.author 2006 design-analysis package works with widely used CAD systems such as Inventor, Pro/E, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks.

The software offers linear and nonlinear structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using efficient h-p adaptive FEA solvers. A "smart" spreadsheet technology lets users easily capture model parameters and optimize models. An intuitive user interface shortens the learning cycle and makes complex modeling rather easy. The release can handle large assemblies with capabilities such as shell and mixed (solid-shell) modeling using a variety of contact conditions and automated rigid-body-mode stabilization techniques.
