Industrial Vision System

May 5, 2005
The Anaconda image-acquisition and processing board is specifically designed for real-time image acquisition, processing, and analysis.

PCI-X compliant, it targets embedded vision applications that need large amounts of image processing for diagnostic X-ray, flat-panel display, and semiconductor wafer inspection, and similar applications where the host resources are running at capacity or are unavailable. The system uses a fully configurable FPGA (field-programmable gate array) and user-programmable PowerPC to deliver high-bandwidth data streaming on a single platform. Key features include autonomous program execution and an embedded pattern search engine running on the embedded PowerPC.
