PEM Hybrid floating panel fasteners install by hand or with tools into most thin-panel materials, including stainless steel and printed-circuit boards. They allow for radial float to compensate for mating hole misalignment up to 0.060 in. The metal/plastic fasteners are suited for applications where subsequent access may be necessary. Screw thread sizes include #10-32, #12-24, M5, and M6 in various lengths. The panel fasteners feature a standard slot/Phillips drive (or optional six-lobe drive) with a black ABS plastic molded knob. An aluminum retainer and spring-action plastic "fingers" hold the knob in a retracted position after installation. Fasteners mount in panels as thin as 0.031 in.
