Bonding Glass

Sept. 14, 2006
Betaseal is a clear liquid used during glass bonding of windshields, backlites, sunroofs, and quarter glass.

A single wipe goes on the glass followed by a newly formulated adhesive. A fluorescing agent in the liquid lets the wipe path be seen during glass installation. Illumination with a specific light source indicates continuous application of the liquid around the glass. This will help OEMs improve quality earlier in production. Betaseal can be applied robotically or manually.
