Safety Door Handle

Nov. 9, 2006
The Series BNS-B20 safety-door handle system is designed for use as a combination door handle and safety interlock switch on light to medium-weight hinged and sliding machine guards.

The tamper-resistant unit has a low-profile door-handle assembly with two multiple reed-switch arrays and coded-magnet actuators. The switches close only in the presence of their matched magnetic field array. The assembly has two NC contacts and one NO contact, an LED display of switch status, and an M121x1 quick disconnect. Integral latching magnets attract pole pieces with a holding force of 100 N. The system is compatible with 35, 40, and 45-mm aluminum profiles.
