Prototyper sets up facilities off shore

    Protomold Co. Inc. is expanding its North American manufacturing operations by 50% and opening a new facility in the U.K. to serve the European market.

    The U.K. facility will deliver the same quick-turnprototype and low-volume part production service currently available in the U.S. Maple Plain, Minn., will see a 20,000-ft2 facility and the U.K. will get a 25,000-ft2 facility in the West Midlands area.
