Magnetic Switches

Oct. 6, 2005
Targeted for speed sensing and positioning, these magnetic proximity switches detect magnets up to 2 in. away.

The switches are offered with dry contact, npn, and pnp outputs in 0.5, 1, and 3-A ratings, and may have up to three contacts in a single housing. Adjustable sensitivity allows switches to "see" through various materials eliminating sidewall holes. Switches possess an extended operating temperature range from 200 to 250°C. A bistable unit follows the magnetic polarity: on for south, and off for north, while others sense only specific magnetic polarity.
