Infrared LED

Sept. 14, 2006
The OPR2800 Series infrared LED targets single-device and array applications and noncontact position sensing, data-detection system, machine automation, and opticalencoding tasks.

The LED delivers a 100° beam angle and is housed in a surface-mount chip-carrier package that matches a PLCC-2 footprint. Forward voltage is 1.5-V maximum, with continuous forward current of 50 mA. Reverse voltage is 30 V, with reverse current of 100 A. Power dissipation is 130 mW at 25°C. Operating temperature range is -40 to 100°C. The LED is RoHS compliant.
