The 2-mm connector, tested to military standards, targets ruggedized Compact PCI and mission-critical applications such as military land systems, shipboard, and aerospace.
The connectors are interchangeable with the board layout on COTS systems and are reverse gender to commercial 2-mm devices. Benefits include high-reliability Hypertac contacts, shock and vibration-fretting immunity, standard 2-mm footprint, EMI/RFI shielding, keying feature for proper mating, and a high-temperature LCP insulator that meets NASA outgassing requirements. The connector's 2-mm centerline has six rows and uses 0.4-mm Hypertac contacts that feature 8-m contact resistance and a 1.0-A current rating.
