Conveyor Moves Sticky Powders And Foodstuffs

Sept. 16, 2004
The Aero-Mechanical Conveyor moves cohesive powders and other materials without degrading them or the equipment by fluidizing them in an air stream.

Materials include titanium dioxide, carbon black, flour, coffee, and tea leaves. The conveyor consists of a rope and disk assembly in carbon or stainless-steel tubes. Several configurations are available, including conveyor distance and angles. The PLC-friendly system does not require an outside air supply or large motors and can be used with other processing equipment such as bulk bag dischargers and flexible screw conveyors.
