Temperature-Indicator Labels

Sept. 15, 2005
TT Sensor temperature-indicating labels have a two-piece design comprised of an indicator label and an activator label.

This lets users easily apply and activate them. This means time-temperature monitoring won't begin until the activator label is applied. Once activated, labels change color — from yellow to pink — at a predetermined rate based on temperature exposure. On most packaging lines, the transparent activator labels are applied to indicator labels, which are then immediately affixed to packages. Labels are available in a variety of formulations to meet specific time requirements of processors. They don't need to be kept cold prior to application. TT Sensor labels can be used to monitor seafood, dairy, meat ,and other perishables. They meet FDA guidelines for MAP packaging, easily work with several MAP packaging formats, and can be custom printed and cut.
