Tough HDPE Films

March 9, 2006
Hostalen GX4041, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin for blown film, combines stiffness with good impact resistance.

It can be used in lamination and release films, labels, bags, and heavy-duty sacks. Films made from GX4041 reportedly have up to 40% better dart drop (impact) performance over the current market benchmark, Hostalen GM9255F2. The HDPE can be processed quickly with low gel levels. It is said to produce films with uniform surfaces, good lay-flat properties, and excellent roll properties.
