The VC4068 smart camera features a 1/2 CCD sensor with a resolution of 1,280 × 1,024 pixels and an integrated 400-MHz (3,200 Mips) processor. The camera, triggered internally or externally, has a maximum frame rate of 14 fps and comes equipped with 4-Mbyte Flash EPROM for program and data storage and 32-Mbyte SDRAM for picture storage. This capacity can be extended with a 128-Mbyte SD card. The camera has both an Ethernet and an RS-232 interface and four digital PLC inputs and four outputs. A high-speed trigger input allows jitter-free image recording at very high reading frequencies.
