Apex Releases New Compact Rotating Disc Reducer

June 22, 2006
Apex Dynamics releases the new High Torque, Low Backlash Compact helical AD series, which utilizes the newest Helical Planetary Gear design.

The AD integrates the patented one piece planetary cage design (patent # 6,503,168) to provide the Stiffest and most accurate rotating flange design on the market today. Superior accuracy of less than 1 arc-min and as short as 70mm (flange to flange), the Apex AD series will fit into the smallest spaces.

Designed with oversized precision Taper Roller bearings for increased radial and axial load capacity, the True Helical gear design increases tooth-to-tooth contact ratio by over 50$ vs. the standard spur gearing geometry. The Helix angle is optimized and produces smooth and quiet operation at extreme speeds (less than 1 arc-min, less than 56dB, up to 10,000rpms input).

The product is offered in 7 sizes (AD 047, 064, 090, 110, 140, 200 & 255) and is equipped with all standard single stage ratios seen on the market today (4,5,7, & 10:1) along with more binary (double stage) ratios than any other competitor.
