Logic-Level Rotary Switches

April 13, 2006
The MR Series of process-sealed, logic-level rotary switches feature a positive detent mechanism, audible feedback, and self-cleaning contact mechanisms.

Available in single, double, and four-pole models, the switches have molded-in PC terminals and are process sealed for automated soldering. Adjustable stopper plates allow two to 12 position settings, depending on the number of poles. Break-before-make contact timing is through sliding contacts in the MRA version and a rotary contactor disc in the MRF and MRK versions.

The MRA and MRK panel-mount options have metal bushings with exterior rubber washers and doubleflatting bushings for protection in splashproof applications. The switches' interior housing seal and shaft rubber O-ring permit cleaning after automated soldering. Behind panel body depths range from 0.323 to 0.669 in. The MRA is rated 250 mA at 125 Vac or 48 Vdc. Ratings for the MRF are 0.4 VA maximum at 28 Vac/Vdc maximum.

The low-profile, screwdriveractuated MRF version accommodates space limitations. Its polyamide cover allows for cleaning after automated soldering. It is rated 0.4 VA maximum at 28 Vac/Vdc maximum.
