Filter for Data Collection

June 17, 2004
The AAF-2Fe, an antialiasing low-pass filter module, has two channels for noise reduction that preserve signal integrity of analog measurements for process control,

FILTER FOR DATA COLLECTION

sound and vibration testing, ultrasonics, acoustics, structural analysis, and laboratory data-collection applications. The module works with all 8, 12, and 16-bit A/D modules and boards, and has factory-set differential instrumentation gains ranging from 1 3 to 10,000 3 . It also has a true (not software compensated) minimal offset of 1.5 Vm or better and has accurate unity gain and a ±10-V input and output range. Filter characteristics (Butterworth, Bessel, Cauer, or Linear Phase) are selectable to any corner frequency within the maximum filter bandwidth. Filters can be tuned to a variety of bandwidths from 0 to 200 kHz, and output impedance is <0.001 ohms. Common mode rejection is 90 to 110 dB. Input and output range is up to 10 V while gain accuracy is 0.001 dB at 1 skHz.
