New Products: Low-Profile Computer Power Supplies

Sept. 11, 2008
The ZWX- Series of low-profile ATX computer power supplies are open-frame ac/dc supplies for server and industrial computer applications.

Five voltages are available for today’s high-end industrial computers: 3.3, 5, 12, –12, and 5 V (standby). The units are 1U rack/enclosure mountable. The ZWX300 has a sixth output (a second 12 V) to support extra drives, memory, fans, etc.

Convection-cooled power ratings are 90, 120 and 150 W. Forced-air cooling (30 cfm) jumps ratings to 153, 204, and 255 W, respectively, and peak power ratings add from 30 to 40 W to these figures. Features include active power-factor correction, logic level on/off control, 80% and higher efficiencies, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, remote-sense on the 3.3-V output, and no minimum loads required. The supplies operate at 85 to 256Vac in –10 to 70°C (with appropriate derating).
