Self-Lubricating CAM Followers

Sept. 1, 2005
Graphalloy self-lubricating cam followers now come in stainless steel and metric sizes from 16 to 90 mm OD for use in machinery requiring metric standards.

The stainless-steel followers are suitable for corrosives, washdowns, and a range of wet applications. Cam followers with Graphalloy bushings are said to perform better than their grease-lubricated counterparts in high temperatures (750°)F, low temperatures (450°F), and submerged and hostile environments. Graphalloy contains no oil or grease to harden; has a low constant coefficient of friction; eliminates galling or seizing in hot and dry conditions; will not soften or extrude; works in acids, hydrocarbons, gases, and other hostile environments; and can be steam cleaned without damage or reduction in performance.
