Quoting Help For Mold And Die Makers

Aug. 18, 2005
MoldQuote and DieQuote automate a process that until now has been largely manual and stitched together with standalone spreadsheets.

The programs let tool shops generate quotes more quickly and accurately. Both programs support quote generation, from importing part data and splitting the part, through development of a blank layout, thinning, and gathering material conditions (for die quotes) to final quote generation. Quote-related data is stored in a database letting users search for past quotes from similar situations, track successful and unsuccessful quotes, and conduct win-loss analysis. Quote data can also be linked to accounting or ERP software to reduce redundant data entry.
