Temperature Transmitter

July 7, 2005
The PRTXD Series two-wire temperature transmitters provide 4 to 20-mA signals when used with any dc supply/loop resistance that maintains 8-to-32 Vdc at the terminals.

Each unit includes a 100 RTD-sensing element to IEC-751 Class B with an accuracy of ±0.3° at 0°C and ±1.1° at 150°C. The 3.5-digit display is 0.5-in. high with an update rate of three readings/sec. Noninteractive zero and span controls permit ±10% range adjustment. The housing is NEMA-4X (IP66) rated ABS/ polycarbonate. The 316 stainless-steel-probe sheath uses a 0.5-in.-NPT male hex nipple and is available in both 4 and 12-in. lengths that can be spring loaded. A front-panel test button sets loop current and display to test calibration levels.
