Product Spotlight: ¼-Brick dc-dc Donverter

July 10, 2008
The 0RQB-C0U Series of open-frame isolated dc-dc converters are for high-speed networking, telecommunications, and computing applications.

Housed in an industry-standard …-brick package, the unit provides up to 100 W of output power from a 48-V input. Its 4:1 input voltage range accommodates both 24 and 48-V standard input voltage in the same module. The devices’ open-frame construction makes them candidates for convection-cooled environments. The converters offer protection and control features that include differential remote on/off, positive/negative remote sense, input overvoltage/undervoltage lockout, overtemperature protection, fixed frequency switching (285 kHz), and an operating temperature range of –40 to 85°C.
