Dc/Dc Converters

Sept. 27, 2007
The UQQ family of 100-W quarter-brick dc/ dc converters feature an ultra-wide 4:1 input range.

Five versions are available: 3.3 V/25 A, 5 V/20 A, 12 V/8 A, 15 V/7 A, and 24 V/4 A with a basic-grade 2,250-V I/O isolation voltage. The converters easily install on PC boards with halfinch card spacing. The units have a 9 to 36-V input range (12 V and/or 24 Vin nominal) and 18 to 75-V dc; standard quarter-brick package and pinout; and extensive control and protection features. Additionally, the system has undervoltage and overvoltage shutdowns, a positive or negative logic-compatible remote on/off control, sense feedback to minimize IR line-drop losses, and a wide output voltage trim input to adjust the accuracy. An optional baseplate maximizes heat transfer to an external mounting surface, giving up to 105°C fullpower operation. Calculated MTBF is over 5 million hr.
